Nurmagomedov competed in the lightweight division of the UFC, where he was the longest-reigning UFC Lightweight Champion in UFC history, holding the title from April 2018 to March 2021. He achieved a momentous 29 wins and no losses and ultimately, retired with an undefeated record. Due to his incredible achievements, Nurmagomedov is widely considered to be among the greatest MMA athlete of all time, being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2022. Nurmagomedov signed a six-fight deal to compete in the UFC's lightweight division in 2011 and later made his UFC debut on 20 January 2012 at UFC Fight Night: Guillard vs. Miller, defeating his opponent, Kamal Shalorus, via submission in the third round. Nurmagomedov went on to participate in 13 bouts throughout his career in UFC, winning every single one of his bouts. He had an incredibly successful career and is one of UFC’s biggest names.
